The 2025 edition of the LnD Africa Conference is scheduled to take place from October 15 to 17 in Nairobi, Kenya, with a mission to bridge Africa’s growing learning and skills gap through innovation, technology, and collaboration.

Held under the theme, “Bridging the Gap: Innovative Learning for Africa,” the conference will serve as a pan-African platform for dialogue among education stakeholders, policymakers, and industry leaders. The hybrid event will allow both in-person and virtual participation, with registration fees set at USD 380 and USD 100 respectively.

Organisers say the conference comes at a crucial time when Africa’s education and workforce systems face widening disparities between rural and urban areas, outdated curricula, and limited opportunities for upskilling. Despite significant progress, many Africans, particularly youth and workers, remain ill-equipped with digital, technical, and soft skills needed in the modern economy.

According to the World Economic Forum (2023), over 60 percent of Africans are under 25 years old, making investment in learning innovation vital for the continent’s competitiveness.

The conference will explore several key sub-themes, including:

•AI Learning: Transforming Education for the Future – examining how Artificial Intelligence can personalize and expand access to quality education.

•From Chalkboards to Chatbots: The Digital Leap in Learning – discussing the evolution of traditional learning tools into digital platforms while addressing connectivity gaps.

•Future-Ready Skills: Preparing Africa’s Workforce – integrating critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy into education systems.

•From Rural to Urban: Expanding Learning Opportunities – showcasing innovative community-based learning models.

•Bridging Skills Gaps: Aligning Learning with Industry Needs – ensuring educational outcomes match job market demands.

The three-day event is expected to draw over 400 participants from more than 15 African countries, including policymakers, corporate learning professionals, EdTech innovators, researchers, and nonprofit leaders. Activities will include keynote sessions, expert panels, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Key objectives of the conference include promoting evidence-based learning practices, driving regional collaboration, and inspiring a new generation of learning and development professionals across the continent.

LnD Africa, the organiser of the event, is an initiative founded in 2019 to advance learning and development across Africa. Its partners include Grow Learn Connect, Tushiya Exchange, the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs – West Africa, Afrikan MSME Collective, Huru Consult, The Influential, and Thrivin Global.

For registration and further details, interested participants can visit www.lndafrica.org or contact info@lndafrica.org / +233 50 925 7332 / +233 24 436 3387.
