Empire FM, the Western and Central Regions’ leading urban radio station, has once again delivered an unforgettable experience with a special Farmers’ Day edition of its annual Family Picnic in Takoradi.
The much-anticipated event, now a staple on the region’s entertainment calendar, brought together families from all walks of life to bond, relax, and enjoy a full day of fun-filled activities.
One of the major highlights was the exciting lineup of children’s games, which gave kids an unforgettable experience. From table tennis and tug of war to musical chairs and other engaging competitions, children had countless opportunities to play, win prizes, and create lasting memories.
Adding an exciting twist to this year’s edition, families were invited to participate in a cooking competition, made possible by Gino Ghana. Winners walked away with generous hampers of Gino products, making the contest both thrilling and rewarding.

The event also created a vibrant marketplace for local vendors. QueensCraft expressed their joy at participating for the first time.
“We are so happy to have experienced this year’s Family Picnic. We made good sales and had so much fun. It was worth attending,” a representative said.

A cotton candy vendor, Kelly’s Candy, also shared his excitement: “This is my first time being part of the event and I don’t regret it at all. I’ve had great sales, and I will definitely be joining the next edition.”

Families who attended were equally delighted. One mother, attending with her children for the third time, couldn’t hide her excitement:
“This is my third Empire FM Family Picnic experience, and the organizers outdid themselves this year. My kids are extremely happy. For my family and I, the Empire Family Picnic is a must-attend event. I encourage Empire FM to keep this initiative going, it’s a truly wonderful one.”
Expressing appreciation for the smart turnout out, the Business manager of Empire Fm and Radio 360, Joseph Kumi, stated that the corporate social responsibility of the EIB Network is to deliver satisfaction and joy to its various listening publics.
“…We strive to get sponsorship to ensure our listening publics are excited and the family picnic is our way of ensuring family bond closer… we have other upcoming events this festive period like the walk with the Western regional minister on December 20, 2025 and the climax of a colorful masquerade festival on December 25 with the Confederation of Masquerade Groups. Empire fm and Radio 360 will always give back to our communities and we implore advertisers and sponsors to be receptive and forthcoming when we reach out for their support.” he stated.
This year’s memorable edition was proudly supported by Gino Ghana, Jogio Décor, Mil Track West Africa, Telecel, New Crystal Hospital, and Deray Bitters.
