Ama Pratt, spokesperson for Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has called on Ghanaians to actively support President John Dramani Mahama in achieving his national development agenda, emphasizing that government action alone is not enough to realize the country’s full potential.

Speaking on GHToday with Lily Mohammed on GHOne TV on Wednesday, February 4, Pratt highlighted the progress Ghana has made under President Mahama’s leadership, pointing to measurable achievements both domestically and internationally.

“They see where we are at in terms of our depth, where we were in 2024, and where we are at today. The figures are speaking. The finance is speaking. All of that is speaking,” she said, noting the president’s growing presence on the global stage and contributions within the sub-region. She further praised President Mahama’s recognition in international circles, referencing his fifth-place ranking in a 50-member award scheme.

Ama Pratt commended the president for his vision, saying it has tangible effects on the lives of ordinary Ghanaians. “Bottom line for every Ghanaian, I add my voice in congratulating His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for how far he has come, where he is today, and where he is going,” she said. “To say thank you for his vision for Ghana and how it is translating in my lived experience as a Ghanaian, and to offer support in whatever capacity I can.”

She stressed that achieving the president’s vision requires self-reflection and participation from all citizens. “I think that for every Ghanaian, perhaps it’s a time for self-introspection, to analyse how every one of us can contribute to making his vision a reality,” Pratt said, adding that seeing the country experience effective governance should inspire Ghanaians to imagine the possibilities if every aspect of the president’s vision were fully realized.

Ama Pratt further emphasised her commitment, in her role within the governance structure, to contributing to the realization of the president’s agenda, while encouraging citizens to engage actively in supporting national development.
