The maiden edition of the Asante Akyem Agogo Marathon has been scheduled for Monday, April 17, at Agogo, in the Ashanti region.
The event themed, “Unearthing Talents for Ghana’s Future Sports Development” will provide the Ghanaian youth, the opportunity to exhibit their talents.
The event, which starts at 7:00 am prompt, will see athletes run a 20-kilometer race from Akutuase through Hwidiem to the Agogo Township and end at Collins Senior High School Park.
All participating athletes stand the chance of winning an airline ticket to London to watch 2017 World Athletics Championship, Flat Screen Television sets, Home Theatres, Table Top fridges, Microwave, Mobile phones, Tablets, Educational materials, participation certificate and many more prizes.
According to the organizers of the event, there would be an accommodation for participants, who are non-residents of Agogo and that anyone from every part of the country can participate.
