Ghanaians have rated the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, as the best-performing minister in a public opinion poll conducted by GHOne TV across its social media platforms, specifically, Instagram, X, FB and WhatsApp Channel.

The poll, which sought to measure public perception of ministerial performance, featured four key ministries: Finance, Foreign Affairs, Roads and Highways, and Energy. Participants were invited to vote via GHOne TV’s digital platforms, generating strong engagement from the public.

On Instagram, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson emerged as the clear favourite, securing 63 per cent of the votes cast. He was followed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who obtained 29 per cent. The Minister for Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, and the Minister for Energy, John Jinapor, each recorded four per cent.

A similar trend was reflected on GHOne TV’s WhatsApp Channel, where the Finance Minister again topped the poll with 879 votes. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa placed second with 298 votes, while John Jinapor received 177 votes and Kwame Governs Agbodza recorded 129 votes.

The consistent outcome across platforms indicates strong public approval of Dr. Forson’s performance at the Finance Ministry, particularly amid ongoing economic recovery efforts and fiscal policy reforms.

GHOne TV noted that the poll was not scientific, but was designed to give citizens a platform to freely express their views on governance and leadership performance through digital engagement.

Such polls contribute to national conversations on accountability and performance by amplifying public voices in assessing the work of government officials.
