Minister-designate for Communications, Sam Nartey George has insisted that he will not apologize to former President Nana Akufo-Addo and Chief Justice Getrude Torkonoo over his previous criticisms of them.
Mr. George’s entrenched position has hardly come as a surprise as he repeatedly refused to walk back his dogged attacks on the two high-profile individuals during his vetting.
According to Starr FM’s sources, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership had sought the lawmakers retraction to enable them proceed with his approval without objection.
While Sam George has shown no indication of a u-turn, it is uncertain if Minority leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has the unflinching support of his caucus to tank the nomination.
