Hearts of Lions PRO, Eric Adzie, has confirmed that the Ghana Football Association’s enhanced match day safety and security protocols were fully implemented at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday.
Eric Adzie’s comments come after Hearts of Lions played to a 1-1 draw against Vision FC which marked their return to Ghana Premier League action after a four-week break.
Speaking on GHOne TV, he further commended Vision FC for ensuring strong security measures at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex.
“A number of security personnel that actually came to the Tema sports stadium yesterday in fact before we even got to the stadium we had a police escort to the facility”.
“Our dressing room was heavily guarded by police personnel. I can see the protocols being effectively adhered to by the home team”.
“I saw security men in the stands and all other personnel that were deployed on the day, they came very early to the facility and they discharged their duties effectively” he told GHOne TV.
“I believe what I saw yesterday was a step in the right direction and lemme say thumbs up to the home team for actually given us that heavy security, I was so much impressed about what happened yesterday” Eric Adzie stated.
