Ghana National Gas Limited Company (Ghana Gas) has dismissed reports alleging that its current management acquired a property at Airport West in Accra at an inflated price, describing the claims as false and misleading.
In a statement, the state-owned gas company clarified that the property located at No. 225 Osibisa Close, Airport West, was acquired under a previous administration and not by the current management team.
According to Ghana Gas, the transaction had already been flagged in the 2024 Auditor-General’s Report, which made adverse findings regarding the acquisition.
The company further disclosed that the matter is currently under investigation by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and other relevant state investigative agencies.
Ghana Gas said it is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigations and expressed confidence that the facts would confirm that the current management played no role in the purchase of the property.
“Ghana Gas remains steadfast in its commitment to the highest standards of transparency, accountability, good corporate governance, and the prudent management of public resources,” the statement said.
The company maintained that it would continue to support all lawful investigations into the transaction while working to uphold public confidence in its operations.
