The Africa Prosperity Network (APN), in partnership with auditing and advisory firm KPMG, has opened nominations for the 2026 Africa Prosperity Champions Awards (APCA), which honour individuals and institutions advancing Africa’s growth, trade and integration.

The awards will be held on 6 February 2026 at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra as part of the final session of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD), a continental platform promoting shared prosperity under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Focus on inclusion and innovation

The 2026 edition is themed “Empowering SMEs, Women, and Youth for Africa’s Single Market: Innovate. Collaborate. Trade.”
Organisers say the focus reflects Africa’s growing emphasis on inclusive economic transformation through entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and regional collaboration.

Nominations opened on 10 November 2025 and will close on 30 November 2025.

Individuals, businesses, and organisations can submit up to three nominations, each supported by a 500-word justification, through APN’s website or via email and WhatsApp channels.

Recognising Africa’s changemakers

Award categories include Woman of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, SME Champion of the Year, Industrialist of the Year, Excellence in Digital Innovation, and Green Africa Award, among others.

Nominees will be evaluated on measurable impact, leadership, innovation, and contribution to Africa’s sustainable growth and integration.

Audit-backed transparency

To ensure credibility, KPMG will act as the official audit partner, overseeing the nomination and selection process alongside the APCA Academy, an independent review body.

In a statement, the Africa Prosperity Network said the awards seek to “celebrate transformative leadership and inspire a new generation of African achievers driving continental progress.”

The Africa Prosperity Champions Awards form part of APN’s broader effort to promote dialogue and action on trade, industrialization, and inclusive prosperity across Africa.

Organizers believe the recognition of entrepreneurs, policymakers, and visionaries who embody Africa’s resilience and creativity will help strengthen the continent’s collective development agenda.
