Following the death of former first lady Theresa Kufuor, the office of the ex-president John Agyekum Kufour has scheduled Wednesday October 11 as the day to commemorate one week of her demise.
The former first lady who served in the position from 2001 to 2009 died on Sunday October 1, 2023.
Government officials, Political figures, and members of the public have since visited the Kufuor’s residence at Peduase to commisirate with the bereaved family.
In a statement released by the senior aide and spokesperson of the former President, Dr. Kwabena Osei-Adubofour indicated that visits to offer condolence and commiserations must be done by Monday October 9 to make way for a day’s preparation for the memorial which will be held at their Peduase residence.
