Waste Or Create, a pro-Africa not-for-profit environmental organization, has launched the Environmental Workforce for Africa Strategy with the theme ‘One Earth, One Move’ as part of its 5th anniversary celebration.

According to the managing director of Waste or Create, Chineyenwa Okoro Onu, the Environmental Workforce for Africa Strategy is a 5-year strategy which spells out how the Hub plans to position environmental sustainability as a key career path for African youth as it has a direct impact on the future of the planet.

In a video presentation, she noted that the strategy outlines how the firm intends to enable the youth to access work opportunities that abound in the green economy and provide the skills training that will equip the workforce to take up challenges. And also innovate with the knowledge acquired to provide a sustainable and viable means of livelihood that the youth can embrace.

She said, “Africa’s population is fast expanding, and in the next few years there will be many young job seekers. The green economy offers a world of business and job opportunities that have been untapped in Africa. “
