The National Service Authority (NSA) has opened its enrolment portal for newly qualified nurses, following the release of their service pins, allowing them to be posted to health facilities across the country.
This was announced by the Deputy Director-General in charge of Finance and Administration at the NSA, Donkor Fuseini, during an interview on GHOne TV on Thursday, January 22, 2026.
According to him, the long-awaited pins have now been issued, paving way for qualified nurses to apply.
“We’ve opened the portal, or we’ve released the pins for the nurses who were awaiting them. Their pins have been released for them,” he said.
Mr. Fuseini revealed that the nurses affected number about 6,800 and urged them to act quickly to complete their enrollment to avoid delays in deployment.
“They’re just about six thousand, eight hundred or so. They should quickly enrol so we can quickly post them to their various hospitals to start their service,” he added.

The release of the pins removes a major obstacle that had delayed the commencement of national service for the nurses and is expected to ease staffing pressures in hospitals and clinics nationwide.
Mr. Fuseini noted that the NSA is ready to move swiftly from enrollment to posting once the nurses complete the required procedures on the portal.
