The student loan Trust Fund has validated over 22,000 students under the no fees stress policy.

The no fees stress policy portal was launched last month is a dedicated digital platform that provides students, families and institutions with comprehensive information on eligibility, institutional coverage and beneficiaries.

Dubbed “No-Fee-Stress Portal”, it requires first-year students to submit their application for the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) to take care of their admission and facility user fees.

The policy covers all Ghanaian first-year students in public tertiary institutions and it enables such students to access financial support from the government of Ghana.

The move forms part of the John Mahama led government’s commitment of reimbursing academic fees of all first year students in public universities.

According to the Hajia Saajida Shiraz the CEO of the fund, over 120,000 students have accessed the portal with over
98, 861 completing the application process

Here are details of a Facebook post by CEO of the student loan Trust Fund Saajida Shiraz:

The No-Fees-Stress portal, as at this morning, has been accessed by 120,751 applicants, with 98,861 students completing their applications.

We have also presently received enrolment data for 79,476 Students via our Tertiary Institutions Portal from Public Tertiary Institutions.

The Students Loan Trust Fund has thus started the validation of student data. 22,592 students have now been successfully validated.

We are on course to reimburse the academic fees of first year public tertiary students for the 2024/2025 academic year.

So help us God!
