QNET takes tough stance against people misusing its name

Trevor Kuna, Chief Transformation and Reputation Officer

QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness company that uses a direct selling business model has expressed its readiness to go all out and weed out independent representatives and other individuals that are tarnishing the image of the company through what it calls their unsanctioned and irresponsible behaviours while selling the company’s products to other people.

This was made known to a section of the media last Saturday when the Chief Transformation and Reputation Officer of the company, Mr. Trevor Kuna met and interacted with journalists.

Mr. Kuna did not mince words when he said: “QNET has been around for 25 years. It is neither a Ponzi nor an investment scheme. It is basically a direct selling business and it means that QNET sells directly to people. We do not have shops and supermarkets or wholesale and retail chains. Our products are sold directly to the end-users. In this business model, we have provided the opportunity for people to buy our products directly or market these products to others one-on-one so that they earn a commission on the products they are able to sell directly to others.”

He said further: “We eliminated the barriers that prevent people from activating their entrepreneurial capabilities. So, in a nutshell, you can either buy our products online through our website: www.qnet.net and use them personally or you can sign up to be an independent representative. When you sign up as an independent representative, you can buy our products and also refer others to buy our products and you earn a commission on the sales that are made in the process. This is the simple definition of direct selling.”

QNET is a prominent global e-commerce-based direct-selling business that prides itself in its strong value of helping people raise themselves to help mankind. Unfortunately, some of its independent representatives behave in unethical and unprofessional ways, thereby causing reputational damage to the company’s image. Mr. Kuna said the company is taking steps to either suspend, terminate or prosecute their individuals when they are found, depending on the nature of their unethical practice. He reiterated that QNET ensures that at the point of registration, independent representatives or distributors, agree and sign that they would be ethical and professional in all their dealings. They are often trained on the ‘dos and don’ts’ of the company.

QNET says it is aware, in recent years, of fraudulent entities and individuals who have attempted to tarnish the company’s image by falsely representing themselves as affiliated with the brand by using the name of the company for recruitment scams. These individuals have caused confusion and distrust and have misled customers and the public. In some cases, these individuals are not associated with QNET in any way. Some of them are scammers who have not bought QNET products and are not registered on the QNET IR database, the company noted.

Mr. Kuna assures that QNET is dedicated to working closely with the authorities in apprehending and prosecuting all those culpable and further assures the media of being provided with accurate information and updates to help maintain and promote its reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality products and services.
